TAIWANESE CULTURAL FESTIVAL

ABOUT
To help more friends discover the wonders of Taiwanese culture, we are collaborating with the MOA (Mall of America) to host this year's Taiwanese Cultural Festival!

This event is an art carnival celebrating the roots of Taiwanese culture.

Graceful ribbons, captivating movements—dance unfolds the
century-long tales of characters.

Strong brushstrokes, yet a delicate brush tip—calligraphy reveals the
art of diligently honed writing.

Bold tempos, musical vitality--Taiwanese tribes celebrate their diverse cultures with aboriginal dances, a beautiful homage to tradition and identity.

As the leaves steepen, the gentle aroma of tea evokes a nostalgia
for home, a whisper for the mountains.

The lively call and response of strings and bows brings together the
bittersweet, yet playful facets of Taiwan.

Folk songs--the storytelling of youth, a reminiscence of shifting
feelings--passed on to future generations.

This is an event you won’t want to miss!
Invite your friends to enjoy this cultural festival together!
No registration is required!
A special thanks to the Minnesota State Legislature for sponsoring this event through MRAC (Metropolitan Regional Arts Council).
Sincerely,

Orchid Island, a small island off the eastern coast of Taiwan, is home to the Tao people, one of Taiwan's many Indigenous groups. Beyond its use during the flying fish season, it was historically a means of travel between villages for attending ceremonies or visiting others.
